2012 Football Registration Announcement!

Chelsea Parents and Coaches,

The CYC Football Board is pleased to announce the 2012 Football Coaching Application and Player Registration Process.  As with all CYC Sports, our primary objective is to continue to build a strong program and provide the best opportunity for each child to further develop their skills and reach their full potential as an athlete.

2012 Football Head Coaching Application Process:

The 2012 Football Season will require at least 10 Head Coaches.  The Competitive League requires 6 Head coaches (1 per team, K/1 - 6th Grade) while the Rec. League, will require 4 Head Coaches (1 per team, 3/4 - 6th Grades).  Our goal is to have coaches named and in place prior to Player Registration which will begin April 15th.  After Player Registration closes, we will assess the number of players registered and then assess the need for additional coaches/teams.  Coaching applications are now being accepted by emailing the Football Registrar and notifying the Registrar of your intent to apply.  You can notify the Football Registrar by clicking on the Registrar email address (cycfootballregistrar@chelseayouthclub.org) and  sending the Registrar an email notifying of your intent to apply.  An application will then be emailed to you as well as a link to the Background Screening Webpage.  Head Coaching applications will be taken until March 15th.  Our goal is to have the coaches identified on or near March 22^nd. 

2012 Football Player Registration:

The more players we have participating in our programs, the more experience and more competitive our programs will be in the future.  To support this objective, we will continue to offer both Recreation (Rec.) and Competitive Leagues.  A discounted on-line, “Early Bird” Registration will begin on April 15th (4/15/2012). Full Fee, on-line Registration will begin on May 1st and continue through June 1st.  We will host two (2) In-Person/Walk-up Registrations at the Chelsea Baseball Fields.  The dates will be Saturday May 5th and Saturday May 12th from the hours of 9:00 am - Noon.  Please see the Football Web Page for more detailed descriptions relating to the Rec and Competitive Leagues.

   - March 15th - Football Head Coaching Application Process Closes
   - March 15th - March 22nd - Head Coaches will be Interviewed & Identified
   - April 15th - "Early Bird" Discounted Registration Opens
   - May 1st - Full Fee On-Line Registration Opens
   - May 5th - Walk-up Registration - Chelsea Baseball Fields - 9:00 am - Noon
   - May 12th - Walk-up Registration - Chelsea Baseball Fields - 9:00 am - Noon
   - June 1st - Football On-line Player Registration Closes
